Strange things people have done or said to you that you still think about sometimes?!?

Mine is I once called my uncle to ask him if he would like to meet at a cafe in town to get a coffee, he went absolutely mad at me over the phone and hung up, Later found out he had told the rest of my family that I was obvioulsy a controlling person because I was trying to control him and his life for trying to 'make' him go out for a coffee when he didn't want to!

This was four years ago and he hasn't spoken to me since, Apart from one text to tell me he was better without people like me in his life for the sake of his own mental health!.

There is no backstory apart from what I wrote here, I still think of this all the time!

At my Saturday job as a teen I was chatting to another lady who worked there and discovered we lived near each other. She started talking about the house converted into a church and it was a cult being run from there with lots of cars coming and going on Sundays in and out of the driveway. I had no clue which house she meant so she described in more detail… it was my family home 😂 she thought my dad was a cult leader (which he found hilarious) and there was a big rumour.

the truth? We lived in a 3 bed semi from before I was born. When I was 14 my parents bought the other half of the semi and knocked the houses together to make one large house. We would often have family visit on Sundays hence the cars on the drive and then later, db and I both had cars and friends did to (age 17+) so yes, there were lots of comings and goings.

This doesn’t surprise me. I feel I’ve heard of lots of incidents on this footpath. In cineworld carpark once (in the dark and scary part) someone left a random note on my car windscreen asking me to call them to discuss my shopping bags?! Freaked me out!

I used to live just outside Yeovil. I once parked my car in the Nine stones car park to take my dogs for a walk. Went to get a ticket for parking the car and while I was gone someone had left a note on my windscreen saying that my dog (a big GSD to be fair, who would bark up a storm if anyone walked round the car) was vicious and that he would 'kill it' if he ever saw it again.

She was in the car behind a dog guard with the windows up (I was only gone a minute just to get the ticket). I can only assume he'd never been barked at by a dog before.

So, yes, Yeovil. A strange place.

In the old days when phone boxes were still a thing, I was walking down the street past one, and the phone started to ring. I looked around and there was no-one about so I went in and answered it:

"Hello?"
"WHO ARE YOU?"
"Er - I was just walking past this phone box and it was ringing, so I answered it"

The man on the other end then went off on a total rant about how it wasn't me he wanted to talk to, and what was I doing answering the telephone if the call wasn't for me, and how rude I was, how very dare I, and that I should never do it again.

Okaaaay...

I tried explaining again, but he yelled "Go away!!" and hung up.

I must admit I did have a good look around me to see whether it was some sort of prank that was being filmed, but nothing. Not a soul anywhere around.

As I was walking away, I heard the phone start to ring again. 😂

This is SO bizarre!
