Stayed over at new man's house.

He has a cat....on the bed.Tbf he did shoo it out of the room when he realised I wasn't loving the idea, but he clearly loves his cat (which is quite sweet) and I'm a bit scared of animals...

I think cat and I may have come to an arrangement. He walked quietly up to me when BF was making tea, and I was brave and stroked him a bit, then he wandered off.

Later when BF was back in the room cat came to me (not BF, why did that make me happy? 😁) for more fuss and when BF patted his knee for cat to jump up he walked over BF to sit next to (not on) me, and we sat quietly together for quite a while.

I still drew the line at sex with a cat on the bed though 😂

One of my friends used to not like cats much.

Then she fell in love with a cat person. 10 years on & she loves them as much as her DP does.

Our kitten likes to lick the end of your nose and forehead, she also "grooms" my husband's hair!! 😂

Nooooo I think you will love your mans cat eventually 😁

See? That's how great cats are - he made a tentative overture at friendship, you responded in an equally appropriate way to him and he's telling you that actually, he thinks he could get to quite like you.

Before long, you'll be talking to him and he'll be answering. Especially once he decides that you are as capable of opening cat food as your BF.

@NeverDropYourMooncup it is the start of a beautiful friendship - the cat will have the op wrapped around its paw in no time!

My BF has two cats that he adores, I am technically a cat person but one of them is cheeky and she's always climbing on the kitchen counter, or trying to get your food, and I shoo her away. He does like them to sleep in the bedroom, though if they're around when I'm trying to sleep I nudge them away and they've got the hint. He gets them out of the room for sex though 😊 I guess it's seeing how it goes, and if the relationship gets to you wanting to live together a compromise would have to be reached. I don't live with my BF though, I may lay down rules around the kitchen if I was
