How true is this? Electric Heater.

I regularly use an electric heater in my room. But, for some reason the door of my room now squeaks and is really stiff to move. My parents are claiming it's because of the electric heater and the heat it is creating. How true is this?

If the door is a very close fit for the frame, and the heater is making the room quite a bit warmer than the corridor outside, then it might just about make the hinges move enough to cause friction.

Have you tried not running the heater for a day or two and seeing if the problem goes away?
