Ffs we are going camping in the west country on the weekend. It’s 50% chance of rain all bloody week! It was 29 degrees 2 weeks ago !! 🤬😤😭

I mean after what must be 8 weeks of constant sunshine pretty much you can’t expect it never to rain again surely? It is only mid-May.

ChocolateGanache · 20/05/2025 21:55

In HALF TERM I do!!! Jeeze!

It's a bank holiday weekend - of course it will rain.

SlugsWon · 20/05/2025 22:04

Yanbu 😥

ChocolateGanache · 20/05/2025 22:33

Yes but we can’t holiday in the UK when it’s sunny without facing a fine from school and we can’t go abroad in half term for guaranteed sun because it costs thousands of pounds more to go in half term compared to term time.
Its crap and I feel your pain.

ButteredRadishes · 20/05/2025 22:47

We're going to Cornwall too 😭😭😭😭😭

Noooo...it's half term next week, how DARE the weather be perfect either side and shit that one week? Fucking bastardy weather.

Theunamedcat · 20/05/2025 22:49

We need the rain it's too dry

I would rather be in a tent in the rain than baking in a tent in the sun

ShrimpBoil · 20/05/2025 22:50

It's similar when we get blazing weather in June and July, the day the kids break up it starts raining for six weeks!

Hedgesfullofbirds · 20/05/2025 23:29

I am in the West Country and, apart from a few pathetic showers on Good Friday, we have had no rain for 13 weeks now! The land is arid, parched and crying out for a few days of good steady rain - it is, after all, precious, life giving stuff and very much needed by those of us reliant upon it as growers, horticulturalists and producers of food

TheUsualChaos · 20/05/2025 23:36

I hear you OP. All this unbroken sunshine but half term week looks shite! We need rain absolutely but... this week? Last week? Week before that? No? It'll wait for half term week. Brilliant.
I literally only ever take annual leave in the school holidays and I can't remember the last dry, sunny week off I've had. Depressing.

PickAChew · 20/05/2025 23:38

We desperately need some rain but the timing is terrible.

NuffSaidSam · 20/05/2025 23:42

If the weather had any decency it would rain at night, providing us with the water we need for crops etc. and sunshine during the day.

The weather is wholly unreasonable.

I may start a petition.

Fair. But could you please ask your local rain to refrain during next week?! I thank you x

Count me in! I would like to claim ownership though because I had this idea ages ago too 😂

We had a 10 minute Thunderstorm here in Wiltshire.. Literally a flash in the pan!
We badly need a downpour.. when half term is over preferably
Praying for those going Camping
