Help me name my new jewellery range!

They are stacking rings with a selection of coloured gemstones. I am making a gold set and a silver set, and the customer can mix and match. I want a name that is light hearted and fun. I quite like ‘Pick and Mix’ as a name, because they are a bit like sweets. But I don’t know if it’s too frivolous.
Please help me, I need to decide by the end of the week. (Excuse my old lady fingers, I need a model with beautiful hands!).

A lot of these names sound “cheap” I’d be thinking they were plated.
Out of all of them I like Etage, as suggested up thread, or just your name.

Koazy · 20/05/2025 16:31

I think tutti frutti stackers sounds good. Where can we buy them? They’re lovely.

Jewels of Joy
Joyful Gems
Joyful Treasures

I’ve got stuck on the word joyful I think 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Pick and Mix jewellery would make me think of something cheap and cheerful from the high street, not gold/ gold plated gemstone jewellery.
Most of the brands I'd shop in that genre have gone with names - Zoe and Morgan, Monica Vinader, Astrid and Miyu (technically words for beautiful but the Astrid part is also a name), Alex Monroe, Carrie Elizabeth. Is that an option or is your name one that wouldn't lend itself to becoming a brand?
Kaleidoscope is my favorite of the suggestions. I just tried with a couple of bad mis spellings and Google recognised that kaleidoscope was what I was after, so that hopefully wouldn't be a big issue.

My name doesn't sound like a lovely brand name so I chose a translation of my name meaning in another language which does sound brand like

As it’s a range , not your actual business name ( agree that should be your own name, be it first name , surname or both ) I think Strato / Strata is perfect .

Crikeyalmighty · 20/05/2025 17:04

@NorthFaceofthelaundrypile no idea of the price point or if pure gold/gold plate etc - they look nice but as those facts weren’t given it’s hard to know where to pitch as they may be quite cheap - hard to tell

It needs something appropriate and business like - think SEO and a world where your designs may expand beyond pick and mix

your name or town name and designer jewellery or handcrafted or whatever is better than pun names.

Thingsthatgo · 20/05/2025 15:40

Thanks - I already use my name as the brand. I just need a name for this range specifically.

In that case kaleidoscope is great

CruCru · 20/05/2025 17:27

How much would one of these rings be? My suggestion would depend on whether thy are cheap or expensive

Arm Candy

Or Hand Candy 😂 bit of a play on "hard candy" which is what the gems remind me of. Or Finger Candy? 😳 ... Maybe not so much 😬🤣

Hard candy was a make up / nail varnish brand in the 90s.

It depends on what market you are aiming at.
Tutti frutti, bonbon, etc, sound quite young and playful and not necessarily expensive. I would imagine that for a range aimed at teens to twenties.

Single-word and neutral names like étage sound elegant, refined, and a bit more luxurious. I would imagine that for someone with a style and disposable income.

Anything with jewel, treasure, glitter, etc, just gives off Claire's accessory vibes, sorry.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 20/05/2025 18:07

What sort of thing are your other ranges called? I think you maybe need to pick a common thread, so if they're all female names, or Greek, or English nouns, etc?

Thingsthatgo · 20/05/2025 18:12

thank you. I can appreciate that the association with sweets seems a bit flippant. They are expensive rings (I haven’t priced them up yet) but they are solid gold with sapphires. However, the place where I will sell them, and the website, is a place where customers will spend a lot of money, so they are a bit of fun compared to the really high end stuff.
I quite like the idea of linking them to a party or festival. Maybe Carnival?

Hoydenish · 20/05/2025 18:15

Call the range 'Rio'.

reesewithoutaspoon · 20/05/2025 18:24

Carnival is good. Playful but less teen sounding pretty neutral in terms of age of who you are marketing it at.
'Carnival by thingsthatgo'
or go a bit more exotic with 'Carnivàle'
