Hello! It's probably the wrong place to ask really but here it goes anyway!
7 days ago I had a routine dentist appointment with x rays. It led to a filling done on the day and a scale and polish... So I was in the chair a considerable amount of time really!
Fast forward to last night and I looked at one of my wisdom teeth which is impacted and hard to get to because of the gum and i spotted discolouration and a hole/crack! I've never seen it before! Sorry if this is off putting for some...
My question is, should my dentist have spotted this last week? Especially with x rays? Can this kind of damage really appear so quickly? I brush twice a day and floss. 🤔 It was an expensive trip last week and will be expensive again for an emergency appointment to check it out...
