It's alright for a tenement!

If I had that budget I wouldn't be in a flat and I wouldn't be having any neighbours...

Boreded · 19/05/2025 19:12

That’s not a house. It is a £600k flat

SoeurFayre · 19/05/2025 19:13

One of the most beautiful properties I have seen. The proportions are so generous and so even though it's a flat without outside space you could imagine living in it happily.

I have never been to Glasgow, had no intentions to visit but if I could I would buy that property and move there 😁

MoominMai · 19/05/2025 18:08

Lol yes just out of spite I too made note that the rugs were randomly sized and therefore out of harmony with their environment! 😅

It looks a bit like each rug covers a white taped outline of a murder victim.

footpath · 19/05/2025 20:32

Beautiful

footpath · 19/05/2025 20:34

The ceiling lights…

Perhaps they can't afford the thousands of pounds needed for lights that fit that space. It's not a particularly expensive property.

DancingDucks · 19/05/2025 20:43

Gorgeous flat. I sold my flat in Glasgow 20 years ago for £60k. Saw it on Rightmove last year for £250k. We'd debating keeping it and how I wish I had!

It would be expensive for me for a flat.

DuesToTheDirt · 19/05/2025 20:57

Big, big rooms and hallway in that place. In some of them the furniture looks a bit lost.

My ex and I sold our small 3 bed in (central) Winchester for that price 6 years ago… Scotland prices are amazing!

It’s more than I got last year for my 2 bed Z2 London flat with garden. Prices have gone down.

I’m so shocked by that!

footpath · 19/05/2025 21:01

I'm not, many London flats have stagnated since Brexit and covid. But very few look like this Glasgow one and those that do aren't that price.

Pelvicpaininthebum · 19/05/2025 21:04

I love it.

TeenLifeMum · 19/05/2025 21:05

That’s beautiful and I love the colours (so must nicer than shades of grey). But the piano in a flat… I can just imagine the mn thread! 🤣

Puffalicious · 19/05/2025 21:05

Nonsense. People who live in a 600k flat in Glasgow can afford light fittings. Honestly, do people think we're all oiks up here?

Was walking in the beautiful Dowanhill on Friday actually. It's such a beautiful, calm place. I'm South Side- can't afford the space we need in the West End.

I still say if we came into money I'd have a house by the sea & a crash pad in the West End. DS1 lives in a student flat in Woodlands & adores the life-style, it's such a great place to live (this is where all my money goes - 2 student DC 🙈).

I'm not keen on the yellow room/ the styling of the bedroom, but love the bathrooms, main living area & the kitchen is typical of the area.

🙄 That's isn't what I said though and clearly there are light fittings....

Light fittings that an interior designer would chose to fit that space & setting would be ££££ which was my point.

EilishMcCandlish · 19/05/2025 21:35

Bloody hell! Over half a million for a 3 bed tenement flat in Glasgow with no parking or outside space. I am in the SE and find that outrageously high. Stunned that prices in Glasgow have got that high.

sparrowflewdown · 19/05/2025 21:38

I bet it would be freezing in the winter.

Mischance · 19/05/2025 21:47

My idea of hell! Give me green spaces any day!

To be fair, there's loads of green space in the West End.

How well do you know the city though? I don't find it surprising at all, perhaps as I know it well. The West End and the South Side have always been pretty expensive, particularly the West End.

I went to uni there. Albeit not that recently. Lived just round the corner from there. I would not spend that much to live in a second floor flat anywhere.

It's changed such a lot over the last 15 years or so. Someone will pay that happily. I agree though, I wouldn't pay that much for a flat anywhere, though I do think this is lovely. It's a great area too.

RaraRachael · 19/05/2025 22:32

Didn't do a lot for me and seems a lot of money for a 3 bedroom flat in Glasgow

But it's not. There are 3 bed flats in Glasgow more expensive than this. Are you implying that 'Glasgow' is the issue, & that you'd pay it elsewhere but not there? There's a definite tone of that. Do you know the West End of Glasgow?
