Lovely as it is, my first thought was.... good luck trying to park.

FatherFrosty · 19/05/2025 17:48

It’s huge!!!
and beautiful

Flyswats · 19/05/2025 17:51

Its a famous tenement building depicted in a painting

https://avrilpaton.co.uk/prints/windows-in-the-west

I like the dark floors and the pink they chose for one of the bathrooms. It looks like Farrow & Ball paint has been used.

But those crappy navy blue hankies over the side tables in the living room just look weird.

I love the colour schemes.
I am so jealous re grand piano!
I have one, but it is wedged under my stairs, which are in my living room (couldn't have had a grand otherwise).
I can only dream of having that amount of space!

ChoppyChoppy · 19/05/2025 17:53

Ugh that video is terrible. Why are estate agents so bad at photos and videos. The music background hurt my ears.

i LOVED the property but didn’t like the decoration and furnishing. Too cool and boring. I love those long thin bathrooms that are so typical of that type of property.

YetiRosetti · 19/05/2025 17:56

the flat itself is lovely, but I actually really don’t like how they’ve done it!

Do you think they paid an interior designer or maybe they are one!

I’m an interior designer…in Glasgow! They definitely aren’t one and haven’t hired one. It reminds me of people who have interiors Instagram accounts but aren’t actual designers. It’s a decent amateur attempt.

Some things off the top of my head. The rugs are entirely the wrong size and in the wrong places.

The rooms aren’t well zoned.

The living room colours, while to some peoples tastes, are not a palette a designer would sign off on. The tones are neither contrasting or harmonious. Like matching a black top and black skirt but they aren’t the same black. It looks off.

The ceiling lights…

The kitchen…

The colour drenching of pink in the bathroom screams Pinterest.

It looks a bit like AI has tried to design the room. It kinda works but something feels not right. If you really look closely all they’ve done is use some interesting paint colours. Most of the beauty in the home is its traditional features. The fireplaces, the original floors, the coving etc. It’s not actually well designed really.

I hope they're leaving the shelves in place, that would sell it for me.

Smoronic · 19/05/2025 17:59

Just imagining how much 5 year old and muddy dog could destroy that in about 30 seconds.

FuzzyPuffling · 19/05/2025 18:00

The curtain over the front door is horrid and cheap looking!

MoominMai · 19/05/2025 18:08

MH0084 · 19/05/2025 17:00

Very nice despite the unusual placement of random size rugs!

Lol yes just out of spite I too made note that the rugs were randomly sized and therefore out of harmony with their environment! 😅

Auburngal · 19/05/2025 18:39

Love it. But I don't like kitchens where the units are on stands so crumbs etc go underneath and a pain to sweep/hoover under them..

Plus the impractical bath which is a pain to get in/out and to clean too.

Got to love a property with loads of books and shelves

Mrsbloggz · 19/05/2025 18:48

I like it but how can they have floorboards in a flat, isnt it noisy for downstairs?!

WaffleParty · 19/05/2025 18:50

That’s beautiful. Wouldn’t change a thing!

My ex and I sold our small 3 bed in (central) Winchester for that price 6 years ago… Scotland prices are amazing!

Was just about to say I couldn’t buy a 3 bed semi where I live for that 😏

Toddlerteaplease · 19/05/2025 18:54

Wow!

MyKingdomForACat · 19/05/2025 18:54

I ❤️ it

Glasgow maybe, but you’d pay double that in a similar area in Edinburgh.

sparrowflewdown · 19/05/2025 18:56

Ah, lovely OP. I am dreaming about the life I could live there with my dog. :)

abstractpatterns · 19/05/2025 18:57

It's gorgeous - love it.

BoredZelda · 19/05/2025 18:57

It looks like Farrow & Ball paint has been used.

Good luck keeping that looking fresh, that stuff marks if you fart near it.

Gundogday · 19/05/2025 18:58

Elegant.

AlorsTimeForWine · 19/05/2025 18:59

Wow wow wow!

The trend of using wide angle lenses (or manipulating the photos) so it looks way bigger is a real bugbear of mine. Look how ridiculous long the radiators are, or how comically wide the doors and windows are. That property is nowhere near as big as the photos make it seem.

notprincehamlet · 19/05/2025 19:08

O those windows! Love the stained glass in the bathroom. You could slide forever in your socks on those floors! Bathrooms deserve fluffier towels.
