TW: eating disorders. Anyone else with a previous eating disorder unexpectedly struggling with the advent of WLIs?

I don't know why. I've been well (except for the odd short period when really stressed) for decades. But every time I see someone who I haven't seen for months who has lost loads of weight (which has happened a few times recently, I assume mostly because of Mounjaro etc) I find it really triggering. It's making me feel like a mean, bitter person. I'm only just over 10 stone but this is the biggest I've ever been and there is just something about the whole thing that is making me incredibly anxious and I can't work out why.

Sorry to anyone struggling with their weight in either direction who this thread might be triggering for. Obviously not my intention.

For me, having had an eating disorder throughout my late teens and 20s, I don't feel it ever properly goes away. So I get your response to this op.

Thank you, growingup. Yes, I agree. I'm definitely one of the 'lucky' ones in terms of recovery but it's somehow always there in the background.

I hope you are doing well now.
