How to call in sick

I've got a lot of work I need to do tomorrow and I feel sick.

Really annoyingly I came on with a headache this morning. No idea why, I was eating a bowl of sugar snap beans and got a migraine. I did come on a few days ago so my estrogen is low. I think hayfever might be an element.

Anyway I feel rubbish. I normally would go in unless it was a cold but my brain just feels really fuzzy.

What do you actually say is wrong though? I've got a headache? I always feel I need to explain why and I genuinely don't know why I feel like this.

I don’t explain. I just say I’m not well enough to work.
If it was something that was likely to cause a longer absence, I’d tell them that and would probably say what the issue was. But if it’s a bug of some sort making me feel awful, I don’t explain. I’m an adult, I can decide when I’m too sick to work. It probably helps that I’ve had about 2 days off sick in the past 5 years though (plus two days where I was admitted to hospital with pregnancy complications).

Well what are the main symptoms? Migraine? Just say you've got a migraine.
