I’m a manager. I work with an
individual who has a reputation of being quite rude and unhelpful unless he likes or feels attracted to the individual. So, I’m not one to flirt at work to get what I need. Feels silly.
Howver, I remember on my first day he mentioned something I didn’t do right, in front of a few people. I was very embarrassed.
Since that day, we don’t even exchange pleasantries, even if he’s the only one walking up the corridor.
Im not one who likes to ignore anyone. I recall him walking fast down the corridors and nearly bumping into me but never said sorry or anything.
how do I handle this one? Some kill him with kindness, but thats not easy for me.

Just keep it professional. No need for small talk, communicate when you need to for work purposes.

Is he a peer, someone who reports to you, higher than you?

Either way, keep it polite and professional (do as you would be done by,) but don't have anything more to do with him than work requires.
