Peloton - AIBU

Finally decided to buy a peloton tread. I was really excited, delivery was only a couple of weeks but on arrival the treadmill didn't work and was showing an error code. These things happen, waited a couple of weeks for an engineer to come out and fix it.

Unfortunately he told us they had a batch where they were all faulty on arrival, he had been to over a dozen. Nothing could be done, so they replaced it (for free as they reminded me by email!) I would expect nothing less!
Another couple of weeks go by and the replacement has arrived. It works! I should be thrilled but the screen has a one inch scratch and two smaller scratches.

Photos taken and sent to peloton as requested. Email reply comes quickly saying "Upon checking on the video you sent us, we could determine this issues is minimal and does not affect the usage of the Tread, for this reason we can't arrange a screen replacement."
I feel given the cost I expect it to arrive without scratches but maybe I'm being unreasonable?

You're not unreasonable, this is probably part of the reason why peleton are losing money hand over fist. I suspect you're not in the time period now to just return it and get your money back?

I've got 30 days from delivery to return, I'm going to presume that is the first non-working delivery, so yes I am very close to that.

I have a Peloton bike which I love & I’m a big fan of Peloton but that would seriously piss me off & I’d be returning the Tread. Shocking service.
