What do you think the best brand of watercolour paints is ?

It depends on your preferences for light fastness, granulating or not and transparency. Not to mention how much you want to spend! I love my Winsor and Newton sets but also really enjoy Kuratake but they're opposite ends of the spectrum on transparency with the Kuratake Gansai being a sort of middle between gouache and watercolours.

Try Royal Talens. But Winsor & Newton always a favourite.
