Kids have gone to their dad's. I really need to make sure i have a tidy up weekend. And actually do it and not sit on my butt. Have quite a bit to do

I really want to do stuff to my house. But i can't because I spent money on a holiday. And I can't do both. Guess I will have to get over it 🤣

Maybe do progress photos so you can have a visual of the difference you are making?

i used to do that . When I was in a different place mentally. I used to take pictures when it was really bad. And post them on here. To sort of shame myself into doing it. But also used it as a progress thing at the same time. I feel like I have moved on from that mentally now. I still do it with decorating. But not tidying up.

Do your bedroom first so you have a nice retreat? I would do the kids rooms because they aren't around. I'm pretty ruthless though! Rubbish out, clothes that are too small- out. Toys no longer played with - out or hidden in the loft. Bathroom is usually a quick fix so I might start there. I might start the clock and spend an hour in a room, then a break, then back again. Because of the amount of stuff in it, I tend to leave the kitchen til last.

If you've no money to do up the house can you move the furniture around a bit to change things up.

What I do is watch tv and at the ads, I do three minutes of clearing/tidying then sit down again.

Op, I'll be doing the same in about one hour.
I'm planning on starting a good program (this time about fergie and where her money went) then once I'm into it I'll start house work and reward myself once I've done stages watch and do more.
Secondly I have a good podcast to listen too whilst I start.
Thirdly I give myself small slots to work in and small targets to do.. Good luck

You could do an hour of concerted effort and then spend the day relaxing and recharging?

No really. If i slapped dashed I could. But all up stairs is organised. And sorted. Down stairs is bit of a mess things been stuff in cupboards and can't get tk anything then it's so stuff I can't actually store stuff then stuff gets dumped in corners etc.

So I have just sorted out the shoe cupboard.
And under stairs . So freed up some space. So I can store stuff a bit better.

I know this sounds stupid . But I hate card . I get so frustrated I feel like crying 😭. I can cope with amazon type boxes . Its the massive boxes. I had a few massive ones from when I bought 2 sheds . Another 2 from my bed. They are a massive arse to rip up. It hurts my wrists and arms and they ache so quickly. Then my arms just literally stop working. Then they take up loads of room in the bin. So then I have no bin space.

I was meant to be finished time ds got here but that's not hoing to happen 😔
