The golden lion has just had a million refurb . I would recommend here . Nice decor and food . In the centre of Hunstanton ( walking distance to a lot of places )
it includes all the above that you are looking for 🙂

Yes I read that about refurb. The lodge looks similar.

has it got to be Hunny? There are nicer towns. Honestly. Even Sheringham is more fun.

No not really, just weve never been. Basically after a rough few months/op just want a couple of days away. Freshair, walks, beach walks, and nice food.

Where else would you recommend?

@AgathaMystery so would you recommend elsewhere?

What do you like about the coast? Do you want sand, stones or both? Quiet or busy? 'Kiss me quick' or 'taking the lab for a run out whilst sporting Joules'? What does nice food look like for you? Do you want things for children to do or more geared towards adults? Want to swim in the sea? Paddle? Rock pool? Look for fossils? Interested in any inland stuff? What time of year?

Norfolk is quite varied along its coast. Nothing wrong with Hunstanton for a day out. I find it kitsch or bleak depending on the time of year. But I don't know if I'd stay there as a base.

Yes exactly this!!

Southwell if you’re feeling fancy, Sheringham for quaintness, Cromer for a laugh etc. The coast is so varied. Personally I am into sea swimming so I always suggest people stay near Sea Palling as I think it has the best beach for swimming (yes it has a rip tide but also a lifeguard). But there is NOTHING to do there so it wouldn’t suit everyone. I also like Westleton - not on the coast itself but pretty and not far from Snape Maltings.
