Hello

i interviewed with a company on Tuesday and they said they would get back to me by the end of the week (today) but i have had no word from them.
They have another position advertised as well that I would be interested in. Not as much as the other job but it still matches my skill set as I have done it before. Is it rude to contact the lady in hr that I spoke to to set up the first interview to express my interest in it as well and explain how it would also fit my skill set?

Personally, I don't see why not.
By doing so you are showing a continued interest in working for the company, and a persistence that as long as you have the skill sets, highlights your tenacity.
If you approach the HR with politeness and clarity as regards to how you feel you can be of help to the company, if hired,I can't see how that could be considered rude.
