Stay alive if no man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you in any way?

Doesn’t apply to me but curious as friends were discussing this the other night. Answers from women only - would you stay alive/be able to enjoy life if literally NO man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you/turned on by you in any way, shape or form? And why?

OP posts:
howsthehair · 17/05/2025 06:39

OP - are you a man? Why doesn’t it apply to you? Also I don’t dress for men, I dress for the female gaze. I’m straight but I dress for fashion not fuckability.

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 06:49

jesus does anyone "dress" for the male gaze anymore? we love fashion no matter how uncomfortable those €700 shoes cost, I'll wear them!

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 06:50

disclaimer* I wear cheaper shoes sometimes

Whataninterestinglookingpotato · 17/05/2025 06:57

Honestly couldn’t care less tbh. Might be quite nice to be able to go out without unwanted male attention.

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 06:59

I just can't my head around this, you dress how you like surely?

Communitywebbing · 17/05/2025 07:01

What are you really asking, OP? I would try to answer if I understood. This must be about some personal situation of your own.

Tripadvisor101 · 17/05/2025 07:03

Wow. What a way to make lots of people feel utterly shit about themselves. Op this is a disgusting thread.

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 07:04

Jaysus my friends have slept in bikinis & togs beside each other in various countries & I can assure there was no gaze, male or female.. lighten up OP

Yes, I wear make up every day - I love it! But - I don’t wear it for men, I wear it for me I like putting it on, I like to enhance my face and it makes me feel good. I don’t want men’s attention and that’s certainly not why I wear make up. I think that’s such an old-fashioned idea to think that’s why women dress up and wear cosmetics 🫤

If your self-esteem is based on how attractive men find you; your whole life is spent on doings things that you think will enhance your fuckability; and you can’t imagine a life where men aren’t interested in you, then that’s very sad.

Zippedydodah · 17/05/2025 07:22

Cavello · 16/05/2025 14:06

Yes, because believe it or not for some women the world does not revolve around whether a man is interested in them. Life can be very fulfilling without a man.

^This 100%.
How sad is it that some women think life is only worth living if they can attract a man?
Quite frankly the world would be a better place without many of the men around today.
I definitely don’t need one to validate my existence!

Renabrook · 17/05/2025 05:15

Same as men think of women? It can work both ways and this idea that all women are vulnerable saints who don't do anything wrong and men are always to blame is old

There are decent men and women, not all are terrible

What idea that women are vulnerable saints? No one has said that.

and you didn’t answer the question; why do you think women feel this way about men?

I can't speak for the poster you were responding to, but I haven't worn make up in decades (and didn't even wear much before that) and I dress to please myself, and myself alone. Not everyone is trying to look "attractive and pretty for men". You have some very old fashioned ideas.

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 07:28

sick of this shit Meabh

AppleKatie · 17/05/2025 07:42

What a bizarre thread, the premise is just so flawed. It’s hard to believe a man could be so blind to the realities of women’s existence so as to phrase the questions like that.

siucra · 17/05/2025 07:45

get a life OP!

what about women who try to look attractive for women? Is that allowed?
What about women who are very attractive to men without makeup?

You sound weirdly bitter and upset about it all. I am sure there are a few on earth, but I don't hear about a lot of women committing suicide the day they are no longer attractive to men 😂

Sprogonthetyne · 17/05/2025 07:47

In this sanario is sperms donation an option? My DC are the only good thing to come from having a relationship with a man, so as long as I could still have them I'd be happy enough.

TheWellSungGame · 17/05/2025 07:48

God I hope OP is a man. I can't bear to believe that decades of feminism haven't convinced women that their lives have value.

But then I also can't bear to think of men running around believing that women would want to cease existing if men didn't want to fuck them.

I think I hope OP is an alien?

(I'd miss my husband but I'd be fine. I'm a person with a soul, not a sex doll)

NameChangedOfc · 17/05/2025 07:50

OP has to be a man.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 17/05/2025 07:52

Eh?

Of course. I’d be worried about anyone that couldn’t.

It’s a great part of life of course but there’s plenty else

DownToBusiness · 17/05/2025 07:52

I've never valued myself in terms of how attractive I am (to men- or to other people generally).

Scorchio84 · 17/05/2025 07:55

I never met an incel before

Me too.

As for a world with just my mum & sister, I’d love to see my mum again. But from your original premise, shouldn’t that be a world with only women? Or is this a different question?

Lovelysummerdays · 17/05/2025 07:57

I’m another who gives no shits about men
