Opinions ASAP on my new photography business name please!

Excuse the dramatic title but I would love some opinions on my business name and need them quickly due to an opportunity that requires haste ☺️

I am a photographer and have taken a year or two out due to having my second baby. I am returning to work but starting a fresh. I will be offering all types of photography Newborn/Family/Maternity/Small weddings but will focus more on the baby and children.

Anyway, my child’s school wants raffle donations asap and I thought it would be a great opportunity to start getting my name back out there. Cue you issue, I haven’t yet decided on my new name.

I would love some of your opinions especially if you value photos.

Name options (I have checked domain names and account availability)

Another Chapter Studio
^
(Inspired by the endless chapters and moments that quickly pass us by)

Good Days Studio
^
(Our tagline would be “The good old days are now” and we would focus on conveying creating and capturing memories outdoors like the good old days)

Evermore Studio
^
(Means forever and always)

Thank you so much if you take the time to help me in this 🥰

I like Evermore.
Also - what about Evergreen? Photos keep your memories springtime fresh? 🌿

FloraBotticelli · 16/05/2025 12:20

I think they’re all a bit bland tbh - they don’t really stand out or give you a brand identity.

What about using your name?

ChocoChocoLatte · 16/05/2025 12:22

Have you check for both of these on the Internet / social media platforms - if they’re already in use you may not have the choice.

fiorentina · 16/05/2025 12:22

If it’s going to be just you, I’d often encourage using your name or a derivative of as you will build a reputation for your personal style, especially amongst all the parents you will meet through your own DC. The best known photographers near us are well known as individuals.

The word ‘studio’ do me implies you have a premises, or are you planning to take more outdoor shots? Maybe worth considering. Good luck!

ItsSoFoggy · 16/05/2025 12:22

Evermore I think. It makes more sense to me.

Another chapter I think doesn’t seem right. I imagine that to be a book shop, it just doesn’t say photos to me.

Good days - “good” doesn’t do justice to the types of events you will be photographing. The things you will be photographing are more life changing than that.

TinyTempest · 16/05/2025 12:23

They're all a bit 'meh' to be honest.

But on the plus side, when people want to pay for photos of their family, they're far more likely to concentrate on Google reviews than the actual business name.

So you should be fine whatever you call it.

Unless you go for something like 'Shaky & Blurred' 🤣🤣

WhatMe123 · 16/05/2025 12:25

Evermore studio sounds professional op 😁

BCSurvivor · 16/05/2025 12:28

I like Evermore Studio, but, on a quick google search, there do seem to be quite a few Evermore photography companies out there,
I get that yours would be Evermore Studio, but Evermore does seem to be a popular choice for a variety of already established photography businesses.

Noted. Haha apparently blurry photos are all the rage now so you never know 🤣

Noted. My name is Yavanna and the reason for the change is that I used it before and found it was often hard to spell and remember for people

FloraBotticelli · 16/05/2025 12:48

I think your name is brilliant! It’s pretty, a bit different, it stands out to me. Can you use it with your surname too? E.g. Yavanna [surname] Photogrpahy

I wouldn’t worry about people not being able to pronounce it - just have a little guide in your ‘about me’ and contact pages so people feel confident phoning you.

GravyBoots · 16/05/2025 12:55

Not keen on those listed. Evermore just makes me think of Edgar Allen Poe, even though it's nevermore...
Definitely don't do Evergreen - Will Young, type of tree and sorry PP Springtime Fresh Sounds like a bog cleaner 🤣

Use your initials followed by Photography (instead of studio). It's more likely to be unique and sounds more professional.

TooManyCupsAndMugs · 16/05/2025 13:01

I agree with others - your name is gorgeous and unique and should be in your business name!

OurManyEnds · 16/05/2025 13:08

Evermore Photography is taken by more than one business, and the others don’t feel right.

I’m a photographer and just use my name - it’s highly unusual so memorable, and nobody will ever come along with a camera in their hand wanting to use it too.

WhatMe123 · 16/05/2025 12:25

Evermore studio sounds professional op 😁

To me Evermore sounds like a business that makes memorial jewellery from ashes!! None of the three the OP has come up with shout ‘quality photography’ to me - I think I’d use some derivation / take on her name and the word ‘studio’

MiddleAgedDread · 16/05/2025 13:17

If you've had a business using your name before, I'd keep it to that as it might bring in repeat clients or recommendations. Your name is very distinct too so it'll be easy to find. There's a lady locally to me does similar photography and I can never remember exactly how to spell her name (I think she's Polish) but I've always managed to find it to recommend her to people.

TheDandyLion · 16/05/2025 13:26

Evermore is an easily forgettable name. If I'm looking for a professional service I'd more likey remember a person's name.

Splain · 16/05/2025 13:29

Evermore references Wednesday addams/Poe a bit much for my taste. The "Good" in Good days sounds a little weak, a bit like "nice". I'd go for Chapters over Another Chapter but mainly I just don't think the word sounds particularly appealing and it doesn't say photography to me. I think you are focussing too much on the tagline. Don't overthink it or it can get a bit "take photos now before you DIE!"

None are as good as Yavanna IMO. Vanna Photography would be easier to pronounce but there really shouldn't be any need to compromise on your own name.

Mauvehoodie · 16/05/2025 13:33

Could you take part of your name eg Vanna Photography?

I like Evermore best of your options. Chat gpt can be surprisingly useful for things like this at least to spark a thought and you can keep asking for more or more adjustments.

I agree with this. Or could you use your initials if you have a middle name? That seems popular around here e.g. "JSR Decorating" or "GDT Windows" could you be "<Initials> Photography" ?

PansyPottering · 16/05/2025 15:02

All of them are bland and forgettable. I can completely imagine asking a friend for the name of a photographer she had used and her telling me Evermore and me not having clue what it was three days later. In fact Evermore is the only one I can remember from the list that I read ninety seconds ago!

parietal · 16/05/2025 15:07

something with your name or nickname

whatever you are thinking of, try putting it into Google and see what comes up - make sure there is no direct competition / no dodgy sites etc.

if you are based in a specific area and unlikely to move, another good option is go include the name or your town or village. people often search for local businesses, and if you are 'MyTown Photography' then that will be memorable.

Lavender14 · 16/05/2025 15:13

I think for a wedding shoot, a brand that is someone's name feels more credible, professional or serious - so if that's a market you're trying to tap I'd use your first/ last name. If you're trying to keep it more casual and focus on in studio (assuming you have a premises) work then I'd be OK with one of your other suggestions. Evermore is nice, but I also like maybe "next chapter" because "another" sounds a bit meh and you want to evoke positivity and promise or hope with the name you pick. I agree about doing a thorough Internet trawl to make sure it sounds OK and I'd ask people with different accents what they think so it sounds OK.
