anybody else having problems with their sky tv?

Ours has dropped out several times in the last hour or so, a few other people in our area have reported on Facebook but also some Scotland(long way from us)!

Yeah our box just kept turning off but the light was still green so we had to reboot it every time. After the fourth time I gave up and went into the Netflix app on my TV instead. I honestly thought our box had crashed at first until I saw friends posting about it.

Same here in Scotland the app is also down and the help pages don’t work either!

My sisters Sky box had problems from about 10 pm but we’ve had no issues with Sky stream and all live in the same SE area .

Same. Yorkshire here. Glad I’ve read this as I was thinking I’d be on the phone to sky technical support for a few hours tomorrow

I think she probably means that she worries, like me, that we are going to wake up one morning and everything is down, internet, card payments, internet banking. The country would come to a halt as I found out when I had to abandon my M&S shopping last week.

I don't worry about this stuff at all.

Our Sky Glass has been awful for weeks. Keeps blacking out & not loading. Driving me crackers

I don’t worry, worry. But I think it would cause chaos. I’ve got an amount of cash that would cover me for a few weeks for if it did happen. Also my severe adhd brain needs the tv on, a book and phone all at the same time to keep it occupied

I hope it's back today, both our TVs are ancient (non-smart) so we are a bit stuck without Sky. Not even sure if we can get Freeview.

So glad to find this thread. We thought our Sky was on its way out last night.

Another very glad to hear it is not just us. We are elderly and dreaded the thought of having to fix it /understand tech!

Ours was like it too, I'm glad it's been a nationwide outage as I thought it was our Sky box that was knackered and was dreading having to deal with Sky customer services to get it sorted, they were spectacularly unhelpful the last time our box needed replacing.

Ours was down all last night from 9:45pm. Have restarted it this morning and so far so good. But disgusted at the total lack of acknowledgement from Sky about what was clearly a MAJOR problem across a number of platforms - they are quick enough to get in touch about price rises!!

Mine still wasn't working this morning so I Googled and apparently Sky have rolled out a new fix.

It just involves the usual switching it off at the power socket for 30 seconds and then switching it on again to let it load.

That didn't work last night but I tried it 10 minutes ago and it's all back up and running.

I'd advise everyone to try this now.

Have you unplugged it from the power socket for at least 30 seconds today?

Apparently it doesn't count if you tried it last night and it didn't work.

Mine came back on mid morning thankfully.
