Vinted newbie - item sent is wrong size

I’ve just had an item delivered that was listed as size 10 but it’s actually US size 10 and UK size 14. I admit there was a photo with the label showing both sizes but I didn’t notice that at the time and only went with the Vinted listing which clearly shows size 10.
ive sent the seller a report but being honest it was a fairly cheap item so for me to have to package and post (and then lose cost of postage) it’s not going to be worth the hassle.
is there anything to be done? It’s just so annoying as I really liked the item but it just doesn’t fit. Is this one of those things to chalk up to experience? I also CBA to resell it for the sake of a few quid.

You could dispute it with vinted & they might find in your favour & give you a refund. Personally I would accept the loss given the tag was pictures

I had this and vinted did nothing. Seller offered a return but the buyer pays postage, so it wasn't worth it

I’m torn on this. Without the photo I would have said to complain that it was significantly not as described to Vinted. I’ve done this type of complaint 3 times and got my money back in all cases, one I had to send back but they paid postage. With the photo showing both sizing you could try and complain but I don’t know if you would succeed. In that case just resell and try recoup some money

If you really like the item, would it be worth paying to have it altered?
Otherwise just keep a look out for another one.. They always appear

If its not worth the cost of posting or the hassle of listing it yourself, what are you losing here - £5 max? Honestly, chalk it up to experience and check the pics better next time.

What do you expect them to do? There was a pic of the label so caveat emptor.
My DD buys from Vinted quite a bit and has had a couple of items which are listed as size 12, no pic of label and it arrives with size 16 on it, or the lister says ‘size 14 but fits small’ only for it to me a true size 14. On one occasion the seller refunded the money and said to just keep it, the other it was just donated to charity as not further returning.
It’s a gamble - even if correct size there is a variation of fit.
