Nano extension advice

It’s my first week with them in. I absolutely love the look but I have some questions.

I’ve already had one come out, I read online you can lose up to 20 by the time of your maintenance app. If this happens to you, does it impact the look? I’ve got mine for length so I’m wondering if it’ll look silly with so many missing. I don’t really want to message my hairdresser everytime a few come out, unless it’s the norm to do so?

How on earth do you wash your scalp? I just gently put my shampoo over my head but I couldn’t even lightly rub for fear one might slip out. Am I doing enough? I usually scrub my scalp with one of those silicone shower brushes so it feels weird not to really wash my scalp.

TIA x

Shouldn't you have been asking these questions before you had them put in?

And if you didn't ask beforehand surely you should now be discussing any problems with the technician who actually put them into your hair?

I'd never heard of them but just googled them. I don't like the idea you could actually end up with thinning hair because of them.

Thanks luv. I appreciate your input but surely a waste of your time to comment because you don’t know anything about them and don’t like the sound of them.

It’s normal for a few to come out between appointments. Keep hold of them and you can get them put back in next time. If it’s too many in one place, message your hairdresser and they should squeeze you in to sort it. Make sure you go for a tightening appt 4 weeks later. Get your maintenance done every 10-12 weeks or so.
Use non sulphate shampoo and massage your scalp gently with your fingertips and rinse well, repeat. Only use conditioner on the ends, not near the scalp.
Google how to maintain nano extensions for more info.

Yeah it's important not to get product on the bonds so scalp washing is for replacement day I find. I use dry shampoo if my roots get a bit greasy looking, maybe a couple of times a year. Keep product to ends and mid sections. Your maintenance appt is usually 4 weeks so not much should happen in that time. I used to have mine every two to three weeks until I got better at looking after them. I now go every 8 weeks
