ADHD assessment

So I had my assessment and I find out this week what my diagnosis is.
Did anyone have to wait until they came to a conclusion.
I'm wondering if they think I'm autistic as she mentioned eye contact.
Either way I will find out.

DD had to wait about 4 months before they confirmed her diagnosis.

Oh wow that's ages.

I got my ASD diagnosis on the day as I scored highly enough for them to be confident, but had to wait a couple of weeks for my ADHD diagnosis and both full reports.

If you don't mind me asking can you please tell me how you went about getting your assessment? I'm looking at seeking an assessment for myself (50+ woman).

It depends if they have all the info they need. Best practice is for these assessments to be multidisciplinary so they may want to consult with a colleague.

I spoke to GP who referred me then via right to choose.
Been a long two years.

Overthebow I wonder if I have ASD.
She mentioned lack of eye contact as I was too busy listening than thinking about eye contact.
Did you suspect before you were diagnosed?

Yes I went for two different assessments, ASD and ADHD, the screening, questionnaire and assessment were different for each.

DS diagnosed on day with both ASD and ADHD ( appointments were a year apart not together)
DD diagnosed with ADHD on day.
Both several years ago.
At the clinic I now work at, we do a report and then send it, takes about a fortnight.

Ohdearwhatnow4 I think I have too many issues they need to clarify.
Eating disorder, anxiety hyper verbal.Phobias.
A real mixed bag.
