If you travel into London from Milton Keynes…

Can I please ask if you do this journey regularly whether the trains are reliable? I live in Carlisle and have a job interview in London next week. It is significantly cheaper for me to travel down to Milton Keynes in the evening, stay there overnight and then travel into London the next morning, rather than going straight to London and staying there. My interview is in Westminster at 12pm so I can be fairly flexible around which train I get in the morning and can avoid peak times if necessary. Any tips much appreciated. Thanks.

That gives you plenty of time to get there. You get the odd problem on the line, but it would be very unlikely to affect you for that long. You should easily be able to travel off peak and still have plenty of time. I don’t commute, but do use the line a lot at various times, including mornings.
