My sister and I were laughing about the fact that we used to make a date to watch ‘Dawson’s Creek’ together every week.
We were both in our early 20s.

I also loved ‘My So Called Life’, anyone else watched that?

Fun fact, Lynda Baron, aka Auntie Mabel was Nurse Gladys in Open All Hours.

Horrible histories. For the history. And for the men

I watched Deadly 60 for the, err, nature… .

Although attended a live Steve Backshaw show last year, not realising it was aimed at kids, and dh (who I dragged along) and I were possibly one of the only people there without a child. It was actually really good, and his enthusiasm and passion for nature (the show had an ocean theme) shone through.

Auntie Mabel and Pippin. Bring them back 🐕

Auntie Mabel and Pippin. Bring them back 🐕

Unfortunately, both Aunty Mabel and Pippin have passed away. But a new series with new people would be good.

Gwenni the working cocker , and owners would be a good candidate.,

The Tribe , I was in my 50's when I watched it but I was addicted 😊

My grandad was in his 70s and liked it. He used to call it The Tripe.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch 🧙

maryberryslayers · 14/05/2025 18:15

Tracey Beaker and then The Dumping Ground. I just sort or carried on watching them from being a child in to my 30's! I also watch Skins reruns

The dumping ground. I started watching Tracey beaker as a kid so it’s just aged with me.

Horrible histories too!

Snap!

MrsLargeEmbodied · 14/05/2025 18:49

i think Normal people was perhaps a bit young for me - but i watched it anyway!

ChippySauce · 15/05/2025 06:59

I love Waffle the Wonder Dog, purely for Mrs Hobbs.

That dog is so naughty

alexdgr8 · 15/05/2025 10:33

I discovered and became fascinated with
In the night garden
When in my 50s.
Find it quite mysterious and profound. Intrigued by MacaPaca and his useful compulsion to clean.

outforawalkb · 15/05/2025 10:59

Fate the winx saga

ginasevern · 15/05/2025 11:18

Tiswas.

GingerLiberalFeminist · 15/05/2025 11:20

Horrible Histories. I was 38 when I discovered it five years ago! I've seen them all now!

Number blocks. Also 38, but it may have improved my maths as a kid 😂

She also played Jane’s mother in Eastenders.

PrancerandDancer · 15/05/2025 11:54

Came on to say I loved Heartstopper and would encourage teens and tweens to watch it.

I love a good kids film, Zootopia, Sing and Encanto are firm favourites here.

Did not know there was a show of Malory Towers? I didn't read it as a child, but me and DD8 are reading it now. Will look for the show!

That dog is so naughty

He really is.
My teens call him Waffle the Asbo Dog.
We are all Team HobbBobs & George the Cat here 🙌

Gossip Girl. I was 50 something when I started watching it, after dd told me how good it was!

Fairyliz · 15/05/2025 14:19

I’m in my 60’s and when I retired my guilty pleasure was watching gossip girl; watched an episode each day and loved it.

I'm in my 40s and to my shame love Made in Chelsea. I know it's drivel and I'm old enough to be everyone's mum, but I find it weirdly comforting.

Same here! I had flu a few years ago, was properly sick, laid up in bed for about 4 or 5 days and I binged the whole lot, from series 1 - thoroughly enjoyed it!

Wishimaywishimight · 15/05/2025 14:23

I'm in my 50's and have watched multiple re-runs of Dawson's Creek wherever it's available. It was on Netflix a few years ago, then some other streaming service. I'm in Ireland and it's currently running on RTE Player 😀

piperatthegates · 15/05/2025 14:29

Lots of the programmes already mentioned with my DD when she was a child and teen (born early 90s). But also Barney the Dinosaur, The Singing Kettle (saw them live twice with DD) and Fun Song Factory 😁

RabbitsRock · 15/05/2025 15:29

Another fan of Heartstopper - so well written & acted.

ChippySauce · 12/02/2026 07:33

RIP James Van Der Beek 💐
You will always be Dawson of Dawson's Creek to me.
