My sister and I were laughing about the fact that we used to make a date to watch ‘Dawson’s Creek’ together every week.
We were both in our early 20s.

I also loved ‘My So Called Life’, anyone else watched that?

The OC in my early 20s.

My so called life was great!

Funderthighs · 14/05/2025 05:47

Round the Twist, Tracey Beaker, S Club 7….. loved watching these with the children.

LadyWhitwell · 14/05/2025 05:51

Never have I ever
I also binged Forever on Netflix on the weekend.
My 9 year old DS just discovered the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and he absolutely loves it.

I'm in my 40s and to my shame love Made in Chelsea. I know it's drivel and I'm old enough to be everyone's mum, but I find it weirdly comforting.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 14/05/2025 05:55

Round the twist, watched it in my 20s
Horrible histories, encouraged dc to watch but it was mainly me!

BobnLen · 14/05/2025 05:56

I'm in my 60s and looking forward to the new Heartstopper series, I also bought My So Called Life cheaply from eBay because of all the recommendations on here

MrsLargeEmbodied · 14/05/2025 05:56

also my dc did watch but I watched with them, My parents are Aliens

sashh · 14/05/2025 06:05

Buffy.
The Sara Jane Adventures.
Chorlton and the Wheelies.
Finger bobs.
Tales of the riverbank.
Bagpuss. Actually no one is ever too old for Bagpuss.

Bluey - I just loved watching it with my children. They are getting a bit old for it too but will still happy watch a couple of episodes with me.

(I loved My So Called Life too)

RomanMum · 14/05/2025 06:30

Sarah & Duck!
Horrible Histories

Luddite26 · 14/05/2025 06:42

I've been watching CBBC since it started with Phillip Schofield in the broom cupboard and obviously children's TV on BBC before that. As I was a teen mum I have never actually stopped watching it. Then grandchildren came along. I'm watching Waffle with them now! Ultimate favourite though is Tracy Beaker and all the programmes related to it, Dumping Ground and My mum Tracy Beaker! Love it!

I often find myself singing the theme to Round the Twist! That was a crazy show!

turkeyboots · 14/05/2025 06:56

Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc. It was an entirely wonderful cartoon reboot of the original. It was on children's tv, but a lot of would have totally gone over their heads. Ska ghosts and the Crabshack of Dr Caligari!

Imabitbusyatthemoment · 14/05/2025 07:05

Laguna Beach & The Hills - late 20s.

WillimNot · 14/05/2025 07:09

When now DH and I met we used to watch T4 in bed on a Sunday. We loved Jonny Bravo and CatDog. DH was 30 at the time.
I still love The Simpsons, South Park and have introduced my teens to Animaniacs, especially Pinky and The Brain.

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 14/05/2025 07:10

Austin and Ally - some episodes were so funny 😂

Myblueclematis · 14/05/2025 07:11

There used to be a TV series called Dream Team I think, about a football team and their lives. It was glossy rubbish but I used to watch it on a Saturday whilst cooking tea.

I was around 50 at the time.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 14/05/2025 07:13

Horrible Histories (though they definitely knew the grown ups watched too 😆)

Gundogday · 14/05/2025 07:16

Mallory Towers - watched the first series when I was poorly with covid (2020).

Love this thread!

My DD has great taste in TV since quite young, which is lucky as she likes too watch stuff on repeat (possibly due to being autistic, it's regulating and comforting). Here are her (and ehem, mine) favourites over the years:

Sarah and Duck
Ben and Holly
Dave Spud
Scooby Doo
Horrible Histories
Lego Star Wars
Bluey
Studio Ghibli
Star Wars (although SW does not really have an age thing but I finf myself almost teenage obsessed with The Mandalorian!)
Marvel (again not defined by age but I'm a bit obsessed here)

In my 20s I used to watch the program about young Superman, Smallville?, loved it!

Might try Fresh Prince of Belair with DD next.

TheNightingalesStarling · 14/05/2025 07:21

Eagerly awaiting the next series of Malory Towers with my 14yo!
