Central London
Independent or a nice chain (ideally one we don't have up north)
Budget £100-150 ish for 3 course dinner and a drink for two

No Indian or South Asian food

Hit me with your lovely suggestions please!

For Drury Lane my easy choice would be Café Murano. Other options, in my nostalgia mode, would be Joe Allen or Christopher's. For a more interesting menu, a short walk away, gave a look at Toklas on Surrey Street.

Wahaca is a really good chain restaurant and you’d have plenty of money spare out of your budget. It’s broadly Mexican/ South American.

if you want a more traditional restaurant experience and are prepared to order carefully/ off a theatre set menu type-thing then I would recommend Hakkasan (any branch). Brilliant fancy chinese.

Oxo Tower is on south bank so not massively near but also not too far away. It has a lovely view and is always solid food-wise. There is also a very nice restaurant over the National Portrait Gallery.

Cafe Murano (it’s lovely and very close for Drury Lane).
