My job and my life are inextricably linked

What to do?
My family has been in the same business for several generations, and it really is a family thing. Even cousins work with us.
It's full-on. No chance of a duvet-day if feeling a bit meh or hungover, have to take annual leave at certain dates - no chance of the odd day on impulse, or even getting away from it all when we want. Days are pretty much on the go from morning to night - and often means we have to entertain strangers even if knackered, mentruating, sick (death only acceptable reason for absence!) or feeling the effects of menopause. Don't even get to drop in on my parents on a whim.
I just have to get on with it because not doing so could cost £££££££££s in revenue, but importantly, will let many others down.
How do I escape?

Don't be royal, presumably.

Or a soap opera family.

It'll be one or the other. Or both.

Escape by making sure you have another job lined up/money saved and then handing in your notice and leaving, like any other job. The family links are a smokescreen they rely on to keep you there.

Abolish the monarchy 😁

Do a televised public interview slating your entire family, move to California and release a tell all book?
