Pimm’s alternative

Hi

We are hosting a few people for a BBQ later and want to get some Pimm’s in. I have just noticed online that there are many supermarket own versions. Has anyone tried them? Which one is closest to the genuine article? It could save a few pennies! We have all the supermarkets close by.

No ideas on alternatives, bur Tesco had a big bottle on offer for £10 (from £20 something) the other day as a Clubcard offer.

We had one last year called Summer Cup but I can't remember where from, but probably Morrisons.

Lots of offers on Pimms currently

I’ve tried an own brand before - Sainsbury’s I think - it was okay, but a bit of a sharp taste, just not the same. Def go for proper, look out for deals - quick google says Asda has 1L for £13.48 at the moment

Oooh good - we did this last year, but our local Tesco didn’t have that in last time I was in. Will check in there again

Aldi own brand has been good when I’ve had it. By the time you add lots of lemonade, ice, fruit and mint leaves you can’t tell imo

I've tried Lidls, it's okay, I always add a bit of extra gin if making a big batch. 😋

I have bought some of Aldi’s. We have lots of Prosecco, beer and cider too so if it’s not great, we will survive!
