Wearing this shade to a wedding?

Attending a wedding in a couple of weeks and I've fallen in love with a powder blue dress. However it's rather pale, I'm worried about the whole 'not wearing white / similar to a wedding' rule..

I thought I could accessorise with a coloured bag to help?

What do you all think? Can I wear it?

The colour is usually part of the invite i.e the border is lilac, or it comes with a lilac bow/gem on the front.

Mines were scrolls and tied with a lilac ribbon.

I've always had that, maybe it's a Scottish thing?

I’ve been to loads of weddings- I’m either spectacularly unobservant or this colour coded wedding invitation thing is not a thing at any of the probably not far short of 70 weddings I’ve been to?

How does it photograph outside in the sunlight? My cousin wore a powder blue dress to a wedding. It was definitely powder blue because I was there and she looked lovely.

In the majority of the photos it photographed white! It was a summer wedding so main bulk of photos outside too. The inside photos were okay and the dress looked blue but it didn’t look great for her in the outside photos. She was mortified.

Me too but to be honest I don't think I've ever thought about the invitation colour and certainly not noted it so I could check if the bridesmaid's matched? They may well have done.

OP the ruffle bit is clearly blue but the dress looks much paler in the photo, is that how it is in real life?

Either way I always think with these threads that if you need to ask you should pick something else.
