Moved from integrated to non integrated

My integrated dishwasher and washing machine have packed up. The dishwasher is Ikea and I don’t want to replace it with an Ikea one. Has anyone changed from integrated to non integrated? Is it easy? Thanks

We did. We much prefer it, usually bigger capacity (washing machine drum, fridge and freezer size) and easier to replace (cheaper too). Almost all appliances are 60cm wide, or 59cm to fit a 60 gap. We found we could unscrew the door and the space was the right size. Try measuring it and if it’s 60, a new freestanding one will just push in the gap when the door is removed.

Yes I did - it required some altering of the base boards (dead simple, you’ll know what to do when the new appliances are in) but pretty straightforward.
