Can’t you just stare at a bulb?

Aren't they just lights?

Yes, absolutely. But buy from a reputable brand. I have a Maysama panel and it's changed my skin

UntilTheDolphinFlies · 08/05/2025 00:09

Love mine, my skin glows for days after using it.

I have had the shark one in my basket for a few weeks now, waiting for me to hit checkout, but I'm still on the fence as the reviews are mixed...

It’s worked wonders for my cystic acne. I also have more of a glowy look to my skin when I use it regularly. As for anti ageing, I’m not sure yet. I am still toying with the idea of Botox, so they don’t seem to eradicate wrinkles or anything like that.

I have cystic acne, and scarring from It and since Jan I’ve not have half as many break outs and my skin is so much brighter and happier.

get it through boots and you can spend the points on some makeup !

I have bought a lustre one after lots of research. I love that it has an app and I can set it to different lights in different zones - I wanted red light on my forehead/cheeks/nose for fine lines and blue light on my hormonal acne chin. It’s also only 10 mins per session. I haven’t had any cystic acne since I started using it (would normally get 1 big, painful cyst like spot once every 6 weeks). Be aware though, some people report no effects so it’ll be entirely personal to you

MidlifeStruggles · 08/05/2025 11:11

I had a cheaper one btw and it made no difference

I don't have 300 pounds but I will look out for some good ones if reduced ?!!!

I think the better quality ones had more LEDs so that’s what you want to aim for - the mask with most LEDs within your budget.

I also bought a mask that does red/blue/purple lights only. There are some that do many different colours but I wasn’t sure on them and how good they’d be. Suggest you do some research on it and come to your own conclusion….. I went with the fact that beauty professionals near me only used red or blue lights from what I recall so that limitation was ok for me!

Icexream · 08/05/2025 15:25

A friend of mine was involved in the testing before they were launched. She was gutted when she had to give it back.

I can't say there was any improvement to "see", but she felt it made a difference.

I have a cheap one. My skin has shown improvement but I'm also using Tret. That has been a game-changer.

Instinct1 · 08/05/2025 16:18

There's an episode of "Natalie Cassidy - What's the Big Deal: Britain's Best Buys" where she / the participants test them out. It was on C4 not long ago so probably still on catch up.

DaisyChain505 · 08/05/2025 16:20

Don’t buy cheap, get a decent one and see it as an investment for your skin in the future not just a quick fix.

Youre not necessarily going to take up the next day looking 5 years younger but in the long run it will be very beneficial.
