FB just reminded me that 14 years ago I had my first mastectomy. I was so worried about not being seen as a "whole " woman. I altered what I wore, bought expensive prosthesis and bras.
Now 14 years later with no boobs i can honestly say that I feel freer. I wear what I want. Also no one either notices or cares I have no boobs.
Don't dress for others, wear what makes you happy!

That’s lovely to hear OP. I had a lunmpectomy and radiotherapy a few years ago but my breast has been left so damaged I am due to have a revision mastectomy and flap reconstruction.

i recently attended a charity event where women of all shapes, sizes, stages in their own breast journeys talked and put their wonderful baps/one bap/no baps on show.

Glad you're finally feeling freer OP Flowers

I've always pretty much worn whatever I'm happiest in and I've been all shapes and sizes during my 56 years.

I'm not into 'celebrating' body shapes though and never really understood what it means if I'm honest.

My body shape is just that, and I don't care about other people's shapes.

Very glad you are well and happy OP. A very good reminder that appearances are much less important than we usually think they are.
