Prescribed 2 pumps oestrogel and 200mg ultrogestan but having read some horror stories on here would like to start with 100mg and increase after a week or so. Would I be ok to do this?

You might do better posting in the Menopause board.

Have you been told to take the Utrogestan for two weeks on, two weeks off? Doing only 100 for a week then increasing for the second week doesn’t sound like you’ll hit the right dose. And more likely that your body won’t get used to it and prolong any initial side effects.

100 is usually the dose for taking it continuously rather than cyclical.

What horror stories have you read? There are other formats if the oral progesterone doesn’t suit you eg combined oestrogen and progesterone patches.

Thanks! Yes I’ve been told to do two weeks on two weeks off.

there are several threads about it causing terrible depression, psychotic mood swings and all sorts so I’m nervous about that mainly
