Broke DP's favourite mug

Emptying the dishwasher and it flew out of my hands and smashed into smithereens on the kitchen floor😭 It's an old Charlie and Lola one that says 'excuse me but this is my mug' - not made any more. I've looked on Ebay, Vinted etc, does anyone have any ideas where else I could look for a replacement?šŸ™

I’ve confessed to DP, who was sad for a moment but being the good egg that she is, hasn’t made a big deal of it. I will keep an eye out for a replacement, thank you to pp for the suggestions šŸ˜

Set up an eBay alert for it. I was very upset when I broke an item that had been bought for me by someone who'd since died and the company weren't making anymore. DH set up an eBay alert for it quietly, and when months later one was offered for sale, bought it for me as a surprise. One of his finest hours.

This is a good idea. On a side note - what a guy! @Toastandjam16. Not all heroes wear capes!

@ZoggyStirdust To stop the chip spreading, it's fairly easy to repair with Miliput. Even easier, is Sugru, which I've used on mugs and plates that have since gone through the dishwasher many times. I like to use a contrasting colour which, weirdly, is more forgiving than an imperfect near-match.

Ah thank you šŸ˜€

An adult's favourite mug has Charlie and Lola on it? OK...

Hmm

Proper grown-ups who are secure in their maturity do not feel the need to sneer at the perfectly normal concept of having a fondness for childhood things.

Dammit - I charity shopped that exact
mug just a few months ago.
And for the record, I bought it for myself, as an adult, years ago because I love Lauren Child’s style.

You can get personalised mugs that you upload the pic you want to print, it tends to be 1 or 2 sides printed and even some writing
like their name. Get a pic from online.

Might still be there, things don't always move fast!

He must have had a favourite mug before 2005.
So he's changed favourite mugs before.
And he can do it again
I have every faith.
