Media production careers

Hi there. I wondered if people wouldn't mind sharing what they have done with their media production qualification. My dd16 is looking at doing this either at college or 6th form, but struggles to see what she could do with it. She wants to become a film director, but obviously it would be a long road to that and she will have to work her way there. I want her to realise that there are surely loads of different things you can do with a media production qualification.
What did you (or your family members / friends) do with it?

Might not be the best career TBH.

A.I is already disrupting the industry, and this will only increase. A decade from now all movies and most TV shows will be entirely A.I generated. There won't be any traditonal production jobs.

She needs to concentrate on leveraging A.I and its potential. Staying ahead of others using the software is what she needs to be experienced in. If you go on YouTube and watch the short film "The Heist" it will give you an idea of how fast things are changing and what is coming.

That's an entirely A.I generated production. There are no actors, crew, sets, cameras, nothing. Just a computer.

Media production is probably the fastest changing industry right now. Your DD idea of what the job entails is already out of date.
