How to potty train?

Currently trying with my 2 year old but she cries when she wets herself in her pants. She is slightly better with poo though.

Is she actually ready? Kids can be physically ready but not mentally ok with it. If she IS ready then stay home for a week with nothing on her bottom half so she can get straight on a potty and see/feel it. When she's mastered that, go for loose shorts with no pants for speed, then finally pants and dresses/trousers.

If it's stressful for her and she's only two, leave it a couple of months and try again in summer! I trained my four and so far one grandchild and once they were truly ready it was quite a quick process (I did also offer rewards aka bribes for success... surprising what a chocolate button can achieve )
