Where the feck has the sun gone?!

Sorry, just having a moan.
Said to family do I feel so cold today because I’d got used to it be being hot last week, or do I feel cold because it’s 11 degrees C, but has a ‘feels like 8’ factor?

I'm cold too! The heating had put itself on when I got up this morning too 🧊. I don't want to be melty hot, but warmer than this would be good!

It is quite breezy. I'm cold today too.

Theyre certainly shaking them here! What a change from last week. I blame my SiL - he put up the mini swimming pool in their garden a week ago - talk about tempting Fate…

I packed winter clothing away on Friday, yesterday had to get it out again as I have been so cold.

Trying to force myself not to put the heating on. 🙄

Wind chill is making it colder, so you have my sympathies. But selfishly I’m glad it’s cooler as I’ve managed to get a lot more done in the garden! Too cold to sit outside doing nowt though.

Same here! Wearing a pretty dress to go on a date and I popped outside to put the recycling out and it’s Baltic out there! Seriously considering whether I’ve got time to get changed into my thermals 😬

What we need where I live is rain ! I already saw something about rationing water , but might have been fake news!
It has turned colder, but meant to be warmer next week I think.
May can be unpredictable, no two days the same just now.

I'm freezing in the house, even the tip of my nose is cold.
I'm sure glad that I didn't put away all my polar zip-ups and hoodies for the summer.
It feels like I don't have any energy or inspiration to do anything either, bring on the sun!

It's so much better for gardening though, I've been digging which I couldn't do when it was hot.
I wish it would rain, can hardly believe I'm saying that but it's been so long, had a shower about ten days ago and there's no rain in the forecast for the next fortnight and I'm in South Wales!

When I put the recycling out I checked the weather and it said “feels like 1 C” - not putting winter clothes away yet.

I’m preferring it as I can get lots of outside jobs done. I cant do them in the heat .

The lack of rain is a worry.

I’m cold and miserable. My fingers have turned white so I put the heating on and went back to bed.

I miss the warmth. Though I know we need rain. It’s such a shock after the sun and heat . People haven’t caught up and are wandering around in shorts!

Put some more clothes on?

I've given in and the heating is on so I'm warming up now.

Had two hints of rain but only a few spots materialised so not holding out much hope of the garden getting a good watering.

It’s bloody freezing, even in the south east!!! I have jeans and a jumper on, and the tumble dryer is on. A few days ago I was in shorts and T-shirt!!

It's raining fairly heavily here. We have been for a bike ride and football in the garden and the wind was cold. Such a change from Thursday when it was 29°! I did put the heating on for a bit earlier.

I’ve just got back from Sainsbury’s and was almost blown into the road with my walker!

Yep - heating on today!

We’ve had two quite heavy downpours in SW London, which is much needed for the garden. (Especially as DH has just re-seeded the lawn).

We went to a “fun” dog show and actually withdrew from the second class we had entered and came home. Currently on the sofa with my heated throw 🥶

I wish it would rain, we definitely need it, but it just keeps threatening to!
Yes, the wind chill factor is very much in play today.
Heating on, and my trusty old cardigan 😄

At least the Gdcs (and quite a few of their friends) had a few days to enjoy it!

I'm just not a hot weather person. It was too hot for me last week where I am. I accept I'm in a minority!
But, yes, it's way colder. Such a quick and dramatic change after the heatwave.
