No inspiration and I have run out of ideas.

We had curry last night.

I have a cauliflower in the fridge.

What are you having and what should I buy in Tesco later?

Maccys. Dd has tennis coaching 6-7, too early to eat before, too late to cook after.

jsy44 · 05/05/2025 18:26

Butternut squash, kale and butterbean curry. Time to get on with it.....

mamaduckbone · 05/05/2025 18:27

Sausage, mash, red cabbage and broccoli. I wasn't looking forward to it when the sun was shining earlier but it's quite chilly now so now I am.

Shoxfordian · 05/05/2025 18:33

Made the Butter Chicken from the Roasting Tin around the world book, was delicious

Roasted veg with garlic and herb marinated chicken breasts with melted halloumi cheese on top with side of chicory and Harrisa dressing ( honey lemon olive oil) on flat breads. Might have a couple of glasses of wine too.

MaryGreenhill · 05/05/2025 18:40

Chicken salad

stample · 05/05/2025 19:37

Quiche salad and coleslaw for me. Everyone else had beans and chips with their quiche!

StressedEric · 05/05/2025 19:40

Roast chicken dinner

@ShaunaSadeki how do you make the southern fried tofu? sounds delicious

I bought it from Tesco! I think it would be quite easy to make though. I’ve tried to attach a pic, but usually fail at that

I'm waiting for my shopping to be delivered, so there's nothing in the house! So, we have the perfect excuse to order takeaway

createsomemess · 05/05/2025 19:51

Chippy

TheChosenTwo · 05/05/2025 19:52

Dh and ds are ordering a takeaway, I went out for a late lunch with friends and am still full so nothing for me!

TheHateIsNotGood · 05/05/2025 19:53

Boiled eggs and buttered white bread - just finished it

Judgejudysno1fan · 05/05/2025 19:58

We just ate Firecracker chicken (asda, it's the best in the world) cooked in the air fryer, diced up and added to mushroom rice. All I used was all purpose seasoning and it does the job. Plus I made a massive pot, so can carry it over for tomorrow's lunch too!

rc22 · 05/05/2025 20:00

Just finished chilli and rice made by DH.

PurpleReindeer2 · 05/05/2025 20:00

I made a lovely fish pie with green beans and peas. It was delicious.

Overtheatlantic · 05/05/2025 20:02

Rotisserie chicken from M&S. Nothing else, just stood at the counter and picked at it. Shared some with my very appreciative cat.

MsNevermore · 05/05/2025 20:04

It’s Cinco de Mayo….and I live in a neighbourhood with lots of neighbours who all hail from Mexico! We are having a neighbourhood pot luck.
I’m taking shredded beef enchiladas and some tajin mango

Tisfortired · 05/05/2025 20:04

We had a homemade cream of tomato and basil soup with crusty bread. Plenty left for lunches tomorrow too.

Catandsquirrel · 05/05/2025 20:07

Wild garlic pesto and roasted mushrooms

Borka · 05/05/2025 20:25

Puff pastry spanakopita, tomato salad and olives

pointythings · 05/05/2025 20:27

Cottage pie from scratch. It's cold here.
