Gift ideas - creative / sensory

I'm looking for gift ideas for my DC birthday (age 4). They love sets and crafts but we have the usual arts and craft items so I'm looking for other ideas. Possible gifts are coloured tape that can be torn, sensory play doh kit or something like that in Etsy. We have play sand including one sensory bin kit. Potion kit is a possibility.

They also like bracelet beads and play sand and play doh but I am looking for something we don't already have.

Get a butterfly kit! My kids were a little older when we got one, but age 4, with supervision, should be fine. It was amazing watching them grow then eventually releasing them, and I’ve bought several as gifts since.

That's a good idea. We discussed an ant farm which is along similar lines but I haven't come across this and DC knows about caterpillars life cycle so think we'll get hold of one.
