Urgent! Devon - Dittisham or Stoke Gabriel?

Hey Mumnetters!
We’ve packed the car and are currently on our way to Devon!
We’ve been offered last-minute Airbnbs in both Stoke Gabriel and Dittisham to check into today, but since we’re unfamiliar with the areas, we’re not sure which to choose!
We have three little ones (ages 1, 3, and 6), and we’ll be using the spot as a base while we explore around Totnes—we’re considering moving there!
Ideally, we’d love somewhere pretty to wake up in and return to at the end of the day—bonus points for a nice local pub and a family-friendly café.
Would really appreciate any quick advice—thank you! X

Dittisham is lovely but better if you're just staying there, SG better for exploring the area

Dittisham is prettier than Stoke Gabriel. Totnes is erm… interesting

I visited both last year, and whichever you choose, you will have a lovely time. With small three children, I’d probably just choose the larger house (or the one with the best bedroom arrangements). The pubs overlooking the river in Dittisham were lovely.

Pop into Sharpham Wines while you are there. Excellent wine and cheese selection. You have picked a fabulous weekend for a visit.

Thank you everyone for your replies! It helped us reach our decision 🙏🏼
We've gone ahead and booked Stoke Gabriel, as the cottage overlooks the river and we feel it would be best for the kids to potter around on an evening.
If it was just me and my DH we'd most likely have picked Dittisham for the prettiness.
Thanks again! Xx
