😆 I can imagine ! We’ve cut it back it was enormous, seems to absolutely love the spot it’s in !
And I’m so happy the acer is thriving, it was in a pot and reduced to the pot, I love how it’s growing downwards almost ?

Beautiful flowering plants!
That rosemary shrub must smell so wonderful on a hot day when the sun is shining on it!
You must really be enjoying your garden, thanks so much for sharing !

Yes, yes you can show me! They are fantastic, OP

LittleGreenDragons · 01/05/2025 22:38

What is the pink bud/white flower called? It's very pretty!

Maitri108 · 01/05/2025 23:56

Lovely. I love the silver and yellow one. They all look beautiful.

balloonraces · 02/05/2025 05:47

@PinkseashellsonthesandYou’re welcome ! I love it when spring comes and they all come to life. We’re moving though and sadly going to have to leave them behind. I did toy with taking the acer with me as it has sentimental value but I think we would kill it 😢

@LittleGreenDragonsIt is called Weigela. It actually flowered twice last year. It’s a tree/bush. It looks amazing when it’s in full bloom, so pretty

Love Acers, I have two in pots (I have a communal garden), love the colours they go through.

I've just planted some Rosemary, and also Helianthus. Need to get some more flowers to brighten it up a bit still.

Yes me too, from bright vibrant red to a really deep burgundy. I love the pink ones too !!

I agree @balloonraces , spring is a positive and happy time in the gardens!
Oh that is sad that you must leave your Acer behind when you move house. If the timing had been better you might have tried to take a graph, and given it a chance in your new garden.
An attempt to transplant would be challenging and risky too.
Far better to leave it happy where it is where it will bring years of enjoyment to the new people :)
Enjoy your beautiful garden, it's lovely!

LemonTreeGrove · 03/05/2025 10:44

Looking good.

I've only got bleeding heart, brunnera and one geranium flower in bloom at the moment. One flower on the whole plant

WingBingo · 03/05/2025 10:50

I don’t think the picture does the size of these Acer's justice. I love it when they get their leaves.

Lovely plants OP

I love rosemary, but I never have any success with it. It always goes yellow and dies. I think our soil is the problem, but I can't get it to grow in a pot either.

Thank you, I wondered if it was. I think I'll have to find room for one in my (soon to be) new garden 😍
