I'm taking very early retirement, which on the face of it is a very positive choice, which I'm very happy with, but the timing has definitely been influenced by a new leadership team at work and a feeling that I just cba anymore. I can't say they've done anything terrible, they just don't seem to have time/respect for me and my experience/skills/qualifications in the way others have.
Today was my last day, but for an unexpected and genuinely unavoidable reason, I haven't been in, so have missed any send off they planned. I suspect very little, but I'd be surprised if they had nothing planned, just because that would be poor etiquette.
I'd like to take my team (2 people) out to lunch one day next week, I don't really want to spend more time than I have to with leadership. Is it possible to do that without it looking like I'm making a point (and why does it matter to me if it does?!)?
