Party catering

Planning a party for 60 over the summer, trying to decide what catering to choose. Initially thought of curry because there’s a mix of vegetarian and meat eaters but is it going to be too hot for getting a load of curries delivered? Looking at getting a local restaurant to provide it all so there’s no hassle at our end, just not sure what to opt for or start looking in to.
If I don’t come back for a while it’s because I’m just going into a meeting but would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions!

Just because it's summer doesn't mean it's going to be hot and Sod's law dictates that it won't be if you're doing something like a garden party. Plus curry is hot country food.

Are there any local Indian food caterers near you? There's a few where I am, and as well as selling ready to heat in a shop for families/individuals, they also sell on a larger scale, where they'll deliver the food for any number, along with heated serving trays.

However, think about how people are going to eat it. I'd much prefer this type of food over sandwiches/sausage rolls etc but accept that it's harder to eat if you're not sitting down.

Yes there have been plenty of birthdays inside due to poor weather, seating inside for 60 to eat would be tricky, would also be a bit of a squeeze generally indoors but would be manageable and people wouldn’t loiter too long I suppose 😂
There is a brilliant curry house near us that would cater and bring heated trays, seating for 60 outside would be okay, we have the space for it - may need to think about a gazebo just in case but can worry about it closer to the time.
Party food that can be eaten with one hand would be easier all round but I just cba, I want to enjoy the day not knackered from spending 2 days preparing food and none of it is as nice shop bought. Will keep thinking.
