Weird sickness bug

My DS age 3 had what I assume was a sickness bug last Tuesday night (22nd), sick once and two days later had a soft (but not loose), beige/yellow poo. Seemed absolutely fine over the weekend. This Monday morning complained his tummy was hurting and didn't have much of an appetite. During nursery had two episodes of a wet fluff/follow through (I'm not sure about an actual bowel movement). Came home from nursery and his appetite was back to normal, but he was passing quite horrendous smelling wind. Seemed fine all day yesterday and ate normally. Just before bed last night, he had another wet fluff/follow through and 3am he woke up screaming and had been sick in his bed. When I was cleaning it up, he passed wind again and it's back to foul smelling. I'm not sure what to make of this as I've never experienced it with typical sickness bugs.

Given that this has been going on for over a week, I would probably speak to a health professional or a pharmacist.

I know that things have changed massively in the NHS since mine were small, but I was never made to feel that I was making a fuss when I asked for advice if my children seemed 'off'. I would want to get that checked if he were mine

How was your little one? Was it just a weird stomach bug? My son's got similar symptoms

He was fine after that last bout, had about 5 days of odd/loose bowel movements afterwards. But it must've been a bug as my youngest son ended up with the same 6 days later

Glad he’s better. I guess we’ll know if my son had a bug if me or my husband get it!
