Why do I feel guilty ringing in sick

Ive woken up with a temperature of 38, sore head and throat and feeling terrible.
In supposed to be on a training day in work and even though I feel terrible I feel guilty not attending/calling in sick. Debating taking medication and trying to power through, anyone else feel guilty calling in sick?

Only you can answer whether you are up for work or not

doesn’t sound it but as I say… you know how you feel

Look at it from the other side that you don’t want to pass any germs on, you’d feel awful if you did. Phone in, get dosed up and any bedside supplies and go back to bed.

I’d be pretty pissed off if I found out the person sitting next to me at a training day had flu/Covid symptoms.

Nope, never. Doesn’t sound like a good work culture if that’s how you always feel.

If you died, they'd replace you

Call in sick xx
