Slendertone or similar

Does anyone have and recommend a slendertone belt? Amazon’s choice abs flex is only £40

or are these things just gimmicks?

I have very poor core due to EDS and major ab surgery. I’m trying to consistently build muscle but it’s hard. Wondered if something like this would help.

10 minutes of core every morning was my solution, 2 years later I have a 6 pack. Exercise has to be a way of life. Any shortcuts tend not to be real. Build a habit by doing it at the same time every day, say after brushing your teeth.

Sorry, didn’t mean to sound flippant, but I think if it’s your health, it will be hard, but you’ve got to do it for future you.

@Bubblesaremyonlyfruityou’re absolutely right and I just needed someone to tell me that. would you mind sharing what ab routine you did?

@navybean

  • 12 press ups
  • 20 dead bug in sit up
  • 10 full leg lowers in sit up
  • 5 + 5 bum raise kicks
  • 10 crossover sit ups knee touch
  • 3 x 5 C-curve arms out and up with 5 x roll ups spacer
  • .10 penguins
  • 1 min plank

I do these as part of a slightly longer routine. I started with 1 press up, couldn’t do a dead bug, so did knee bent toe taps, but built it up slowly - you’ve got the rest of your life, so no need to go at it so hard you can’t face it. Good enough, is good enough. Pilates is where the exercises came from.

I now do all these whilst holding hand weights.

Possibly one of the kindest, loveliest and most inspiring things I have ever read on a forum!
