One word in English you don't like

Mine is "appropriately". It's commonly used by people explaining their thinking or belief, without giving consideration that the word has different meaning to millions of people with different cultures around the world.

I did. Since men also often have dresscodes and places have rules about behaviour.
Even saw men being told off for not wearing appropriate clothes

Like Trump at the Pope's funeral. 'Appropriately' was everywhere; well, more Inappropriately.
Nothing wrong with 'moist'. I'm a gardener. The Gold Standard is a moist but well-drained soil. There are lots of uses for moist that aren't gynaecological.

I work in a medical centre. I see lots of medical reports and nothing really bothers me except for one word. Meatus. I shudder when I read it!

My mum always used it when I was growing up. I didn't even know it was an American term. She wasn't American and had never ben there.
