Have an ongoing thing with my husband where if I buy a treat or something for myself- edible, he feels that it’s reasonable for him to eat/drink it. Like a if it’s there it’s fair game type attitude. I’m not talking about regular household food.
He thinks I’m an awful stingy person because I’ll buy something and then expect it to be there when I want it and not eaten or drunk by him. I like to save things and have them in for longer than a day or two. I’m having difficulty explaining my point to him!

If I bought something I would not expect him to have more than half - sharing not a takeover

I'm with you @Prawnball

DH tend to see (say a pack of chocolate biscuits) and scoff them.
I can leave stuff like that for ages, but then I get a real urge, and I expect to then be able to find them to eat.

I've resolved it by buying 2 packs, put one in the cupboard, and the other somewhere he won't see it.
