Old-school sun lounger chairs

Has anyone bought any recently, of the old-fashioned/90s reclining chair style in heavy-duty plastic - sort of uglyish but indestructible? They usually come with detachable pads or you buy them separately.

I can find a lot of the Zero Gravity metal ones in shops, and some fairly flimsy-looking plastic ones, but ideally I'm after some good quality ones that don't feel like they'll blow over in a stiff breeze.

We tried to buy similar today… we went to three different garden centres and couldn’t find any!

Ohh maybe they're considered a bit passé now?!

The ones with massive padded chinzy covers?

WonderingWanda · 27/04/2025 19:26

So many different sorts on Wayfair...I bet they will have exactly what you are looking for.

Did you find any @Elsbetka

Elsbetka · 13/05/2025 20:30

Sadly not! Actually I've been somewhat taken by a friend's little corner sofa and am wondering if we'd get more use out of that...thanks everyone for all the suggestions though.

Have you seen these @Elsbetka

Sofa sounds nice too

Sunshineandrainbow · 17/05/2025 08:57

Ignore me I see someone posted these.

Sorry, we've just taken some to the tip! They were 30+ years old and still going strong, but rather faded from being out in all weathers. We used to have the padded covers too but they were stored in the shed and got musty.
