Embarrassed to ask q about football boots & cycling

I haven't been on a bike for approx 30 years and have never played football so literally have no context to what might be a very obvious question....

Is it safe for my 9yo to cycle to/from football training in his football studs? Or is that dangerous?

I assumed it would be unsafe but a couple of his pals cycled home wearing their boots the other day so wondered if it's actually ok!

It's fine

If his football boots haven't been got studs on them, then no that's not safe. Shirley like self-respecting children he just pulls his trainers on and off rather than actually does the laces so why can't he just take a pair of trainers with him?, Takes a few seconds to swap them over and is much saferi

Just asked DS he said no. It isn't safe.
And this is a child who doesn't use the sense he was born with often. So if he's actually saying no to something it's best to follow.

He rides his bike to training ans chucks some trainers in a bag.

No I don’t think it’s wise. Depends on the pedals I suppose but if the spikes got caught in a groove on them that would not end well.

Thanks all...
